I can't face the money or possibly even more, the disruption. The only bathroom is by the kitchen (but on the other side from the dining room). But this is because when my house was built, there was no indoor plumbing, so when it got brought it, it was consolidated to a close area. It made sense.<br /><br />If my house has ghosts, they are friendly, but they are silent. As for spirits? Yes. To be able to visit them on the merest whim must be quite wonderful.<br /><br />But I know what you mean about house spirit(s). I wonder if making Mom's house more to my liking will make it Home, or if that's just not in the cards.
